Regarding the performance of President Obama, I have the following to say:

I agree that Obama made some mistakes (even though he himself disagreed).

I disagreed with the inauguration invocation being done by the vocally anti-gay Reverend Rick Warren.

However, the benediction was done by a gay Reverend, Joseph E Lowery. So I guess we can sort of cancel out this grievance.

I also disagreed with his appointment of several people who had tax problems - notably Tim Geithner, who, ironically is appointed as the Secretary of Treasury.

There have been a few other things that I scratched my head about also.

But, concerns and problems notwithstanding, I think, that despite the complaints coming from the GOP, president Obama is doing a great job.

Here’s the thing:

Of all the Republicans in Congress, just how many are moderate? three or four of them are. To say that Obama is not bipartisan because he isn’t appealing to far right conservatives is a stretch if you ask me.

Furthermore, I really think that these same Republicans are so sore about losing (especially McCain), that they will do what they can to make Obama look bad, thus hopefully gaining leverage for the next election.

And About McCain - I thought he was awful leading up to the election - Maverick, no.

After he lost the election, he spoke about how he will work with Obama. He sounded as if his Maverick days are back.

But now he is not doing anything constructive. All he has done now is say that Obama is off to a bad start.

If only he had been this critical of the man that got us into this mess - W.
